LG K71 Features a Massive Display & Stylus With Mid-range Specs

Soon after releasing the entry-level LG K42, the Korean phone maker has also unveiled the LG K71 which is more of a mid-range device. The design language is similar to most LG phones, but K71’s display resembles Sony phones due to its thin and tall form thanks to a narrow aspect ratio and large display size.
The LG K71 has a large 6.8-inch LCD with 1080p resolution and a U shaped notch for the selfie camera. The display is surrounded by large bezels but it also has support for a spring-loaded stylus, making the phone stand out from the crowd, especially at this price range.

The back has a triple camera module arranged horizontally, similar to most mid-range and high-end LG phones. There is a fingerprint sensor right underneath it for fast unlocks.
Internals and Storage
The MediaTek Helio P35 SoC is a bit underwhelming, but it is paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. Storage can be expanded further with the help of a micro SD card as well. The octa-core CPU inside has a maximum frequency of 2.3GHz.

On the software front, you get Android 10 with LG’s custom skin preinstalled.

Cameras
The triple camera setup on the rear includes a 48MP main sensor with PDAF, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and an additional 5MP lens for depth sensing. There is no mention of video recording capabilities, but we can safely assume at least 1080p video recording with 30/60FPS support.

The front camera inside the U shaped notch is a 32MP shooter.

Battery and Pricing
There is a 4,000 mAh battery inside, but the lack of fast charging is a bit disappointing since almost all mid-range and even entry-level phones have support for it these days.

Pricing and availability is yet to be revealed, but the LG K71 will be available in Holo White and Holo Titan color options once it goes official.
