Sony is preparing the announcement of a 200MP medium format camera?




Sony may have revealed its plans to squeeze Fujifilm into the medium format photographic market by filing a patent for a medium format lens.

According to additional information on the web, in the next two years, Sony may introduce a medium format studio camera with a 200MP sensor and a size of 54x36 mm, which is 2.25 times larger than the area of ​​a full-frame 36x24 sensor in cameras with a Sony E mount.

In addition, Sony is allegedly also preparing a specialized adapter for installing Sony E optics on a new system, for which three lenses will be presented at the announcement.

We cannot yet confirm the reliability of this information, so we can only treat it as rumors. Although I really want it to be true.
