Mars Express Orbiter Software Updated




The Mars Express orbiter, which has been utilising software built using Windows 98 since its launch 19 years ago, is getting a big software upgrade. According to the European Space Agency (ESA), the update will allow it to view Mars' surfaces in more detail than ever before. The MARSIS sensor on the spacecraft is well-known for detecting hints of liquid water on Mars.
