HIV cases are increasing across Pakistan, with more than 108,400 reported so far. Punjab leads with around 45,000 cases, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (40,000), Sindh (15,000), Balochistan (3,000), and Islamabad (4,756). Health experts warn that the actual numbers may be significantly higher.
Major causes include the reuse of contaminated syringes, unsafe blood transfusions, and unhygienic medical and cosmetic practices. Authorities are being urged to enforce stricter health safety measures to control the spread.
