Facebook, Instagram down during outage; thousands affected



There is currently an outage affecting Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, all owned by Meta. Thousands of users worldwide are reporting issues including:

Difficulty logging in or staying logged in to Facebook

Inability to refresh feeds on Instagram

Issues with loading stories and comments on Instagram

Complete shutdown of Threads with error messages

Downdetector, a website that tracks internet outages, has seen a surge in reports for all three platforms. Despite the widespread problems, Meta has not yet officially acknowledged the outage.
