The design and specifications of the iPhone 14 have finally been confirmed, and now the iPhone 14 has entered the final stage of engineering testing. This was stated by Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu.
The Shenzhen lockdown is said to have had no effect on the production schedule, as the Foxconn plant in that location only accounts for 10% of global iPhone production. An engineering review is performed on the first engineering prototype to ensure that the product works and looks as intended.
Pu also confirmed the words of another analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will receive a new A16 chip, which will be slightly larger than the current A15 Bionic, despite the transition to 4nm process technology. Smartphones will also likely have a more prominent camera bump to accommodate the 48MP camera.
