Apps from unofficial sources may fall prey to scammers
Users who download and install apps from unofficial sources may fall prey to scammers. This was warned by Apple CEO Tim Cook at the Global Privacy Summit in Washington.
As usual, Cook emphasized Apple commitment to privacy, which the company has repeatedly called a fundamental human right.
A week earlier, Apple senior vice president of software development, Craig Federighi, also made a similar statement. In his opinion, downloading unpublished applications is "the best gift for cybercriminals."
